LOUIS LASATER
TECHNICAL ILLUSTRATOR - GRAPHIC ARTIST
Technical illustration is my favorite art form. Ever since I can remember, I have been fascinated with machinery and the beautiful art that defines it.  It wouldn't be until the early 1990s that I would discover a way to put that fascination to any practical use.  As the Manager of Customer Support for a medical products manufacturer, we had great need for drawings of product components to help our customers use our product.  One of our engineers had a DOS-based program called "Harvard Graphics," which included a vector line drawing module.  I used that program to produce all the drawings we needed.  Then the company had me illustrate and produce our Operators Manuals, Technical Manuals, Packaging, Standard Operating Procedures, and so forth.  I loved going to work every day.
In 1995, I purchased a PowerMac 6115 desktop computer, a copy of Adobe Illustrator 5, and started my company, Liberty Graphics.  Because my clients also needed Display Graphic, Brochures, Signs and Banners and other graphic assets I learned Adobe PhotoShop and InDesign.   Today I use the latest Adobe Creative Suite on a PC.
I have spent most of my career applying creative software tools to meet the needs of customers, businesses, and industries. Recently, I added Dassault Systèmes Solidworks 3D modeling and design software to my skill set for clients who require 3D models of their products.
With over 29 years of real-world experience, I am well-prepared to help with your project.
