For ten years it was my privilege to design and produce two quarterly publications; The Tomahawk and Long Rifle magazine, and The Moccasin Mail newsletter. Images were prepared using PhotoShop, art elements were created using Illustrator, and layout using Adobe InDesign. When I first accepted this responsibility the Tomahawk & Long Rifle was created in gray-scale using wax boards. I transitioned the magazine to full-color digital design, modernizing the workflow and enhancing visual appeal. This improvement attracted new advertisers and increased associate subscribers, putting the magazine in a financially self-sustaining position and eliminating the organization’s single greatest expense.
